We took a trip back to Massachusetts in late June and early July to visit friends and family. I also spent some time with former co-workers at Intel in Hudson.

There are six groups of pictures for this trip. To see the pictures in each group, click on the picture to the left or the group title. Click on "Help" at the bottom of the page for more hints.

We had a chance to spend quite a bit of time with our friends, Bill and Roz. This was the first time we had been together since our trip to Antigua in the spring.

During our time with Bill and Roz, we took a day to head up to Rockport. Andrea and Roz shopped at Bearskin Neck and Bill and I went for a hike at Halibut Point State Park, which used to be the Babson Farm granite quarry.

On July 4th, we went to Shelburne Falls, a village (Population about 2000) in Northwest MA, and one of Stacey's favorite hangouts. We had lunch there with Stacey and her friend, Margo, and saw the sights, including the "world famous Bridge of Flowers" and the glacial potholes below the Deerfield River dam.

The Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls is a beautiful flower garden on an arched footbridge across the Deerfield River. The bridge, built in 1908, was originally a trolly bridge, and also carried a main water line. In 1927, the trolley was decommisioned, but the bridge remained because of the water line, and a decision was made to turn it into a garden. The Shelburne Fall Women's Club and a paid gardener maintain the garden from Spring to Fall.
